My grandmother and I took her memorial picture together. In doing so, I wanted to give her the opportunity to determine for herself how she would be remembered. Especially since she doesn’t like to be photographed, it was important to me that she is fully aware of the camera and that she can position herself how and where she wants to. Me behind the camera, her the director. The second part of the work is an audio recording of our dialogue while she chooses the final photo.
